Are there any limitations on downloads or uploads like many satellite providers?

No. Just Say No to Data Limits! Satellite and cellular providers limit the total amount of data transferred to or from the account. If the daily limit is exceeded these providers will dramatically slow down the service. Ranch WiFi does not limit the amount of data transferred. That's right, truly UNLIMITED data!


What is "latency" and how does it affect my service?

Latency is a term used to describe how long it takes a "packet" of information sent from your computer to a server on the internet and back to your computer again. This measurement is vital to a network because it can significantly delay a response, effectively slowing down your ability to view websites. Satellite and cellular based internet typically has delays commonly in the range of 300-500ms while Ranch WiFi's internet service has average ping times under 30ms.


Do I need a phone line for Ranch WiFi Internet Service to work?

No. Ranch WiFi's System does not utilize any phone, cable or satellite connection for it to work. All we need is a power outlet. In Fact, If you have poor cell phone service or poor home phone service you can use our network to get better cell phone coverage or replace you home phone with a VOIP phone connection from broadbandvoice, lingo, t-mobile or Vonage.


Is the network secure?

RanchWiFi uses advanced encryption techniques to ensure that the network is secure.


Will poor weather conditions affect my service?

Weather will rarely affect your service. Very high wind gusts can sometimes knock an antenna out of alignment but this is rare. Rain and stormy weather rarely pose a problem.


How does Ranch WiFi bill me?

Ranch WiFi bills by credit card only and accepts all major credit cards. Ranch WiFi automatically debits your credit card every month for the cost of your service and will send you an email invoice/receipt of your payment. Paper invoicing is also available for an additional $5 fee.


Do I have to sign a long term contract with Ranch WiFi?

No. While we will not have you sign a contract, we are confident that you will be a long term customer by choice after experiencing our excellent customer service and our fast, reliable, reasonably priced product. You may stop service at anytime, just let us know via phone or in writing at least 30 days prior to the cancellation date.
